The Ultimate Push-up Workout
Home | Single Workout | Beginner: 4 exercises
This workout consists of 12 sets of 4 different push-up variations designed to target your chest, shoulders, triceps, and core. The first exercise, the standard push-up, is a classic bodyweight move that strengthens the chest, shoulders, and triceps. The decline push-up, where your feet are elevated, places more emphasis on the lower part of the chest. On the other hand, the incline push-up, with your hands elevated, places more focus on the upper chest and shoulders. The wide grip push-up targets the chest and shoulders more, with the wider hand position.
To get the most out of this workout, focus on maintaining proper form and control throughout each set. Keep your core engaged and your body in a straight line. Remember to breathe steadily and engage your chest and triceps as you push up and lower yourself down with control. If you find the 5-rep count too challenging, start with a lower number of reps and gradually progress as you build strength. Incorporating this workout into your routine 2-3 times a week can help improve upper body strength and muscular endurance.
